Erik Thiessen himself, a professor of psychology at Carnegie Mellon University and one of the study's co-authors, acknowledges in an interview for MIT Technology Review that 'while our e-book is useful, it is probably less useful than interacting with a human.' And it seems that the same research suggested that e-books were causing a turf war between parents and children.
